How Your Order Moves From Artwork to Dispatch
Once your artwork has been checked and approved, we move it into production and confirm the best way to get the order to you. For screen printing, digital printing, stencil work and screen making jobs, the delivery method depends on the size of the run, the product type and how urgently you need it. Small runs for schools and clubs can often be turned around quickly, while larger signage or repeat uniform orders may need extra time for drying, curing and packing.
Our team in Umbilo keeps the process practical. Priya Naidoo handles artwork coordination, Yusuf Khan oversees screen making, and Lwazi Khumalo manages dispatch so orders are packed correctly before they leave the workshop. If there is a detail that affects delivery, such as a school event date, match day, site access or municipal signage requirements, tell us early so we can plan around it.
- Artwork checked before production starts
- Order packed according to item type and quantity
- Collection, local delivery or courier arranged to suit the job
- Dispatch confirmed once the order leaves our base
Collection From Our Umbilo Base
Clients can collect from our Umbilo, Durban base once the order is ready. Collection works well for urgent jobs, repeat orders, or when you want to inspect the finished items before taking them away. It is also a practical choice for customers in Durban Central, Berea, Pinetown or Westville who prefer to collect on their own schedule.
Please wait for confirmation that your order is ready before coming through. This helps avoid delays and keeps the workshop organised, especially when several print runs are being packed at once. If your order includes fragile items like framed screens or large format signage, we will advise on the best way to transport it safely. During wet weather or high humidity, we pack with extra care so printed work stays clean and dry.
- Best for urgent pickups and repeat orders
- Useful for customers who want to check the finished work first
- Collection available from our Umbilo workshop area
- Bring a vehicle with enough space for banners, boards or boxed items
Local Delivery Across Durban and Nearby Areas
We offer local delivery for customers in Durban and surrounding areas, including Durban Central, Berea, Pinetown, Westville, Amanzimtoti, Ballito and Pietermaritzburg. Local delivery is arranged where practical for schools, clubs, businesses and site based work that needs to arrive on time and in good condition. Delivery timing depends on route planning, order size and how many stops are on the day.
For items going to schools or business sites, make sure we have the correct address, access instructions and a contact person who can receive the goods. If the premises have security rules, boom gates, loading bays or after-hours access, tell us upfront so there are no holdups at the gate. In coastal areas like Durban and Amanzimtoti, we also take note of moisture sensitive items and pack accordingly.
- Local delivery is available for selected Durban and KZN areas
- Good for bulk orders, signage and repeat supply runs
- We confirm access details before dispatch
- Delivery times are planned around route and production schedule
Nationwide Courier for Orders Outside KZN
Clients outside Durban and outside KZN can use courier delivery nationwide. This suits schools, sports clubs, companies and organisations that order from us but are based further away. Once the order is complete, it is packed for transit and handed over to a courier for the final leg of the journey.
Courier delivery is usually the best option for boxed garments, printed apparel, film output, smaller signage pieces and other items that travel well. Large or awkward loads may need special packing or a custom delivery plan. Transit times depend on destination, road conditions and courier schedules, so it is wise to allow a bit of extra time when planning events or launches. Please note, couriers can delay if addresses are incomplete or if the receiving point is hard to find.
- Available for clients anywhere in South Africa
- Suitable for garments, prints and many packaged jobs
- Tracking or dispatch details can be shared once collected by the courier
- Allow extra lead time for remote areas and time sensitive events
Packing, Care and Special Handling
Different products need different packing methods. Printed T-shirts are boxed or bagged to keep them clean, while banners and signage are rolled or protected to avoid creasing. Screens, frames and reclaiming work need more careful handling because of their size and finish. Our production team checks each order before it leaves so the pack list matches the completed job, not just the invoice.
If your order includes freshly printed items, we may recommend a dry period before collection or courier. This is especially important during humid Durban conditions or when the job has been printed in more than one colour. For school uniforms, club kit or branded workwear, it helps to separate sizes clearly so receiving staff can sort the order quickly.
- Printed garments packed to stay clean and ready for distribution
- Large format items protected against bends and scuffs
- Screens and frames handled with extra care
- Orders checked before leaving the workshop
What to Send Us When You Place an Order
To keep delivery simple, include the full delivery address, suburb, contact name and any site instructions when you submit your enquiry through our contact page. If you are ordering for a school, club, factory or office, add the department or gate number if there is one. This saves time and reduces the chance of misdirection, especially on busy delivery days.
It also helps to tell us the quantity, product type and whether the order is for collection, local delivery or courier. If you need a package split between different locations, say so from the start. We can usually work with that, but it is easier when the plan is clear before printing begins. A clean handover at dispatch means fewer problems later and less back and forth.
- Full address and suburb
- Contact name for receiving the order
- Preferred delivery method
- Any gate, security or access notes
When to Expect Your Order
Delivery timing depends on the type of work, the size of the run and the destination. Simple orders can move quickly, while larger screen printing jobs, stencil work or signage may take longer because they go through artwork checking, production, drying and packing. We do our best to keep lead times clear and practical so you can plan around school terms, match fixtures, trade events or staff launches.
If your order is urgent, mention the deadline in your enquiry and we will advise what can be done. In some cases collection is the fastest option. In others, local delivery or courier is the better fit. Either way, our team will keep the process straightforward and tell you what is happening next.
