Led by Sibusiso Mthethwa

Sibusiso Mthethwa, our Managing Director, keeps the operation grounded in the practical needs of schools, clubs and businesses across Durban and KZN. He has been building the business since 2008 with a simple focus: get the artwork right, keep production moving and make sure every run leaves Umbilo in good order. He stays close to the day-to-day work, so decisions are made quickly when a customer needs a small reprint, a bigger run or a tighter turnaround.

He understands what matters when work is moving through a busy season, especially for school events, coastal humidity and last minute promotional orders. His approach is hands-on and direct, which helps the team stay organised when multiple jobs are in production at once.

  • Sets the production standard for every job
  • Supports quick decisions on artwork and delivery
  • Helps balance small orders and bulk runs

Artwork and pre-press with Priya Naidoo

Priya Naidoo coordinates artwork, which means she is often the first person to spot a problem before ink or film is used. She checks layouts, prepares files for print, and makes sure colours and text are clear enough for schools, clubs and business uniforms. If a logo needs cleaning up or a file has weak resolution, she sorts it out before it reaches the press.

Her work supports everything from colour separation to film output, and it saves time later in the process. That attention to detail matters when a client wants one artwork to work across T shirts, caps and banners without extra corrections.

  • Artwork checking and file preparation
  • Vector redrawing for cleaner print results
  • Colour separation for multi-colour jobs

Screen making and technical setup with Yusuf Khan

Yusuf Khan leads screen making, where accuracy makes all the difference. He handles screen stretching, emulsion coating, exposure, washout and touch-up, then checks registration before a job moves to print. His work gives the production team a stable base, especially on jobs that need repeat runs or fine detail.

Because Screen Spectrum makes screens in-house, Yusuf can support jobs of any size without waiting on outside prep. That helps when a client needs a fast turnaround for events in Durban Central, Pinetown or farther afield, and it keeps the quality consistent from the first print to the last.

  • Screen stretching and frame reclaiming
  • Emulsion coating and exposure control
  • Test printing and screen storage

Production flow with Anele Zungu

Anele Zungu manages production and keeps the press room moving in the right order. He plans the sequence of work, checks that materials are ready, and makes sure the team has what it needs before printing starts. That kind of control helps on mixed orders, especially when a customer has shirts, caps and signage all going at once.

He also watches the practical side of production, from drying time to handling work during humid Durban weather. When a job needs to be adjusted for colour, size or placement, Anele works with the team to keep the standard steady and the deadline realistic.

  • Production scheduling and job planning
  • Press room coordination for mixed items
  • Quality checks before dispatch

Sales support and client communication with Nokuthula Dlamini

Nokuthula Dlamini handles sales enquiries and helps customers understand what is needed before a job is approved. She speaks to schools, sports clubs, churches and local businesses who need clear pricing, correct quantities and practical advice on the best print method for the job. Her job is to keep things simple so the order can move ahead without confusion.

She also helps clients from outside Durban who use courier delivery nationwide. Whether it is a small batch of caps or a larger banner order, she keeps communication clear and makes sure the details are captured properly. That saves time and cuts down on rework, which everyone appreciates.

  • Assists with quotes and order details
  • Explains print options for different items
  • Supports local and nationwide customers

Dispatch and delivery handled by Lwazi Khumalo

Lwazi Khumalo looks after dispatch and makes sure finished work is packed, labelled and sent correctly. He keeps track of collection and delivery requirements for Umbilo, Durban Central, Berea, Westville, Pinetown, Amanzimtoti, Ballito and Pietermaritzburg. For clients who cannot collect, he helps make sure courier orders are handed over cleanly and on time.

His role is important because well printed work still needs to arrive in good condition. Lwazi checks that each parcel is ready for transit, especially for items like banners and printed garments that can crease or shift if packed badly. It is the final step and it needs to be right, no short cuts.

  • Dispatch planning and parcel preparation
  • Local delivery coordination across Durban and KZN
  • Courier handover for nationwide orders
