What to include in your quote request
The quickest quote starts with a few clear details. Tell us what you need printed, how many items you want, and where the artwork must appear. If you are not sure about sizing or colour count, send what you have and we will help you work it out.
For accurate pricing, please include:
- Garment type or product type, such as T-shirts, caps, banners or signage
- Quantity per size or per item
- Print positions, for example front, back, sleeve or cap front
- Artwork status, whether it is ready or still needs adjustments
- Deadline, especially for events, school functions or match days
How to send your request through the contact form
Use the enquiry form on our contact page and add as much detail as you can in one message. If you are sending more than one item, list them separately so we can price each line properly. This saves time and helps avoid back and forth.
When you write your message, try this simple format:
- What you need printed
- How many pieces you need
- Which colours or print areas are involved
- When you need delivery or collection
- Your town or delivery area, if it is outside Durban
If your request is for schools, clubs or staff uniforms, mention the ages or sizes too. That helps us check stock and plan the print run correctly from the start.
Artwork files, logos and layout checks
Good artwork makes a difference to both price and turnaround. If your logo is already in a clean format, send it with the request. If not, we can assist with vector redrawing, colour separation and artwork checking before printing begins. That is especially useful when a logo has faded, was pulled from a social post, or was saved at low quality.
We also handle film output, screen exposure, washout and touch-up in-house, which helps keep jobs moving without delays. If you are unsure whether your file is suitable, send it anyway. We will tell you what can be used as is and what needs work.
Why job details matter for pricing
Print costs can change depending on the number of colours, the size of the print, the type of fabric or surface, and how many setups are needed. A single-colour chest print on 20 shirts is priced differently from a multi-colour back print on 300 garments. Banners, signage and cap prints each need their own setup too.
Other things that affect price include:
- Whether screens need to be made from scratch
- If artwork needs to be redrawn or separated
- How many print positions are required
- Whether the order is urgent
- Delivery requirements for Durban or outlying areas
Once we have the details, we can give you a realistic quote instead of a rough guess.
Turnaround times and urgent orders
Some orders can move quickly, while others need more preparation. If you are working to a deadline, tell us the date upfront. That helps us plan screen stretching, screen registration, test printing and dispatch in the right order. School sports days, events and year-end functions often come in tight, so early notice helps a lot.
Load-shedding, weather and courier schedules can also affect turnaround. We plan around those factors where we can, but urgent work is always easier to manage when the deadline is clear from the start. If your order must go to another town, allow extra time for courier delivery.
Where we deliver and who we work with
Screen Spectrum is based in Umbilo, Durban and works with clients across KZN and beyond. We regularly supply schools, clubs, companies and event teams in Durban Central, Berea, Pinetown, Westville, Amanzimtoti, Ballito and Pietermaritzburg. We also courier nationwide for customers who need stock sent further afield.
Our team manages each part of the job in-house, from screen making and screen storage to dispatch. That means your request is handled by the people doing the work, not passed around. You can quote for one-off items or larger repeat runs with the same process each time.
