1. Acceptable use of the website
This website is provided for customers, schools, clubs and businesses seeking screen printing, digital printing, stencil making and related production services in Durban and beyond. You may browse the site, submit an enquiry and request a quote for your own lawful business or personal needs.
You must not misuse the site or its content. This includes interfering with the enquiry form, attempting unauthorised access, copying material for resale, or using the site in a way that could damage our systems or reputation.
- Use the site only for lawful purposes.
- Do not submit false, misleading or incomplete information.
- Do not attempt to disrupt site access, forms or security.
- Do not use the content to misrepresent our services or pricing.
2. Enquiries, quotations and order approval
All orders begin with an enquiry submitted through the contact page. Any quotation supplied is based on the information provided at that time, including artwork status, sizes, quantities, garment type, print positions, colours and turnaround requirements. If the details change, the quotation may change too.
An order is only confirmed once you approve the quote or written instruction and we accept it for production. For multi-stage work such as artwork checking, vector redrawing, colour separation, film output, screen exposure and test printing, approval at each stage may be required before we proceed.
- Check all quantities, spellings, sizes and colours before approval.
- Ensure you have authority to place the order on behalf of your organisation.
- Respond promptly to proof requests, as delays can affect delivery dates.
- We may refuse any work that is unlawful, offensive or technically unsuitable.
3. Artwork, proofs and production standards
Where artwork is supplied by you, it must be suitable for print. We may recommend corrections where lines are too fine, colours are poorly separated, text is unclear or the file resolution is not adequate for the selected method. Our production team may convert artwork into a workable format, but the final responsibility for content, spelling and layout remains with the customer unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Because screen and digital print results can vary by substrate, ink type, garment colour and fabric texture, the final output may differ slightly from what appears on screen or on a printed proof. Small variations in colour, position and finish are normal in trade printing.
- Artwork supplied must not infringe copyright, trade marks or third party rights.
- We may retain production files, screens and screenset notes for future repeat work.
- Reprints caused by approved artwork errors are chargeable.
4. Pricing, payment and ownership of goods
All prices are quoted in Rand unless stated otherwise. Quotes may exclude special delivery arrangements, urgent turnaround, custom packaging or additional processing that becomes necessary after inspection of your job. We may require payment in full or a deposit before production starts, especially for large runs, custom screens or urgent orders.
Goods remain our property until paid for in full. Risk may pass to you when goods are collected or handed to the courier, depending on the agreed delivery method. If payment is overdue, we may pause further work, retain finished goods or stop release until the account is settled.
- Quoted prices are valid for the stated period only.
- Deposits may be non-refundable once production has begun.
- Additional labour, rework or rush handling may be charged separately.
5. Delivery, collection and passing of risk
We deliver locally in and around Umbilo, Durban Central, Berea, Pinetown, Westville, Amanzimtoti, Ballito and Pietermaritzburg, and we courier nationally. Delivery times are estimates only and may be affected by road conditions, courier schedules, load-shedding, weather or municipal disruptions. We will take reasonable care in packing, but once goods leave our premises the delivery process is partly outside our control.
If you arrange your own collection or courier, you are responsible for ensuring that the goods are suitable for transit and that the carrier has the correct details. Any shortage or visible damage should be reported as soon as the goods are received.
- Inspect deliveries promptly on receipt.
- Report delivery issues without delay and keep all packaging.
- Where a third-party courier is used, their terms may also apply.
6. Liability, intellectual property and governing law
To the fullest extent allowed by South African law, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, loss of business, or delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. This includes power interruptions, equipment failure, supply shortages, transport delays, strikes, severe weather or public utility disruptions. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
All text, photographs, layouts and other content on this site remain the property of Screen Spectrum or its licensors unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, publish or reuse them without written permission. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any dispute will be handled in South African courts with jurisdiction.
- No waiver by us will be treated as a permanent waiver of any right.
- If any term is unenforceable, the remaining terms stay in force.
- We may update these terms from time to time, and the latest version will apply.
