What Working Here Involves
We are based in Umbilo, Durban and our day starts with artwork checks, screen prep, printing runs and dispatch planning. Some days are about a single short run for a local school, other days are about repeat orders for clubs, shops and companies that need the same colour and finish every time. It is busy, but steady work and each person plays a clear part.
Our team handles screen making in-house, so we can control quality from the first file to the final packed order. That means jobs can move quickly when a client needs a last minute reprint, or when load-shedding, heat or humidity affects drying and curing times.
The Roles We Hire For
We do not post an open vacancy list here, but we regularly look for practical people who can work carefully and keep up with production. Depending on the need, we may recruit for production, artwork, sales, dispatch and screen room support. If you are dependable and comfortable working to instruction, we would like to hear from you.
- Production staff for printing, pressing and finishing
- Artwork support for file checking and layout adjustments
- Screen room assistants for coating, exposure and washout
- Dispatch and admin support for packing and courier coordination
- Sales support for quote follow-up and client communication
Skills We Value Most
Experience helps, but attitude matters just as much. We value people who arrive on time, ask sensible questions and take care with detail. A neat work style is important because the same order may need matching colour, clean registration and careful packing for a delivery to Durban Central, Pinetown or Pietermaritzburg.
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions exactly
- Basic understanding of print or workshop work
- Comfort with standing work and practical tasks
- Clear communication and a willingness to learn
If you have worked with garments, signage, film output or screen prep before, mention it in your CV. If you have not, but you are reliable and eager to learn, send your details anyway.
How To Apply
To apply, send your CV through the enquiry form on our contact page. Please include your name, the kind of work you are looking for and a short note on any relevant experience. If you have worked with artwork, printing, dispatch or production before, tell us what you did and for how long.
We review applications as needs come up and contact suitable candidates directly. There is no need to send a long cover letter. Keep it simple and clear, so we can see at a glance where you may fit into the team.
Our Working Environment In Durban
Our Umbilo base is suited to hands-on print work, with space for screen storage, film output and daily packing. Durban weather can affect drying times, so team members need to be practical and ready to adjust plans when necessary. Coastal humidity and power interruptions are part of everyday work here, and we plan around both.
We also serve clients across KZN, so dispatch and courier preparation matter as much as the printing itself. Orders must be checked, labelled and packed properly before they leave the workshop, whether they are going to Berea, Westville, Ballito or further afield. One small mistake can delay a full order, and we do our best to avoid that.
Why People Stay With Us
People stay when they can see their work going out the door and into schools, clubs and business across the province. There is satisfaction in making something useful, whether it is a printed T-shirt run, a banner for an event or a set of screens prepared for repeat production. It is straightforward work with clear standards.
We also try to keep the workplace organised and respectful. New team members are shown the process properly, from artwork checking and colour separation through to washout, test printing and dispatch. If you are looking for a place where your effort is visible and your role is defined, this may suit you well.
